Jane's Addiction - Slow Divers - Live 1987
Whole Lotta Love / Slow Diver is a 7″ red vinyl '45 bootleg by Hell's Gate Records, Minneapolis, MN 53407. Track Origins: Side A: 07/08/1987 -- Cattle Club, Sacramento, CA Side B: 01/26/1987 -- The Roxy Theatre, West Hollywood, CA This bootleg uses a recording of Jane's Addiction at the Cattle Club in Sacramento, CA on July 8, 1987. It includes a cover Led Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love, and the Jane's Addiction song Slow Divers, mistakenly listed as "Slow Diver". There are two versions of this bootleg. The original version comes on a red 7″ vinyl. Later versions come on a black 7″ vinyl. This live cover of Whole Lotta Love has been offically released on a Jane's Addiction Box set, but this rare version dates back to 1987, and is sourced from the vinyl '45. There are plenty of pops, scratches and scrapes (typical of underground vinyl) to prove it's historical authenticity. "Whole Lotta Love" was only performed by Jane's Addiction this one time, except for an earlier 1986 "performance" described by a fan as Perry repeatedly asking a DJ to turn down the music before the start of a gig one night. He was ignored as "Whole Lotta Love" started playing. Perry started singing along to it (loudly) to drown it out, and the band started a shambling, improvised version that the crowd went wild for... and the DJ finally turned the club music off. Swim Wear for Women with Baby Bumps
Whoever says that pregnant women can't use swim wear during their pregnancy is mistaken. Nowadays, there are swim suits or swim wear specifically designed to cater the needs of pregnant women. With the creation of swim wear for moms-to-be, women can now hit the beach, wear the latest fashion in bikinis and show that baby bump during summer escapades. Before, some pregnant women had to suffer watching people in enjoying the cool waters. In fact, these pregnant women just read books or prepared the food during a family outing. The bottom line is that pregnant women stare enviously as other people swim and have fun under the sun. It was a belief that swimming was bad to the baby and mother as it will cause miscarriage.
I had a pregnant aunt, who used to wear black fitting shorts like tights and white t-shirts, since there were no bikinis that will her body. When we went to the beach, her plus size swim wear is not actually good for her body, since it makes her swim uncomfortably as if the swim wear doesn't fit her. In terms of size, plus size swim wear can be dependable but on the actual use, it's not. Plus size swimsuits are not designed for pregnant women, but for women whose size is twelve and above. Automatic Watches
Automatic watches donot operate on batteries. Automatic watches are made up of about 130 or more parts that work together to tell time. Automatic movements mark the passage of time by a series of gear mechanisms, and are wound by the movement of your wrist as you wear it. The gear train then transmits the power to the escapement, which distributes the impulses, turning the balance wheel. The balance wheel is the time regulating organ of a mechanical watch, which vibrates on a spiral hairspring. Lengthening or shortening the balance spring makes the balance wheel go faster or slower to advance or retard the watch. The travel of the balance wheel from one extreme to the other and back again is called oscillation. Lastly, automatic movements come in different types, including movements that are Swiss-made, Japanese-made, and more.
Also referred to as self-winding, watches with automatic movements utilize kinetic energy, the swinging of your arm, to provide energy to an oscillating rotor to keep the watch ticking. They're considered more satisfying to watch collectors (horologists) because of the engineering artistry that goes into the hundreds of parts that make up the movement. If you do not wear an automatic watch consistently (for about 8 to 12 hours a day), you can keep the watch powered with a watch winder (a great gift for collectors).
Screw Down Crowns: Many Invicta watches are equipped with a screw down crown to help prevent water infiltration. This is most common on our Diver models. In order to adjust the date and/or time on such a watch, you must first unscrew the crown before you can gently pull it out to its first or second click stop position. To do this, simply rotate the crown counterclockwise until it springs open. When you have finished setting the watch, the crown must then be pushed in and screwed back in tightly.
